An easy-to-grow and low maintenance plant, Portulaca is bright and colorful. The flowers open each morning and close in the evening. Its slender, succulent-like foliage lends it an interesting texture. Drought-tolerant with a trailing habit, it’s best suited for sidewalks and beds but look equally great in containers, hanging baskets and window boxes. Its colours include deep red, fuchsia, orange, pink, white, yellow, and scarlet.

Germination Instructions
- Sow the seeds directly into soil placed in pots, planters or growbags.
- Ensure that the planters/pots/growbags used are at least 6 inches deep.
- Sow the seeds 6-12 inches apart from each other.
- Germination starts in 7 to 10 days.
Maintenance Instructions
- The bloom time is 70-80 days.
- When planted in the ground, it requires little water once established and tolerates dry spells. When grown in containers, it requires regular watering.
- Amend soil with compost before planting or apply liquid fertilzer a few times each season.
- Occasional deadheading will promote more flowering.
