Popularly known as Blanket Flower, this plant is favoured for its long season of bloom. It forms a low mound of light-green leaves and bears upright stems of large daisy-type flowers featuring solid bright-yellow petals surrounding a large golden button eye. They look excellent in containers and are drought tolerant.
Garden Care
Germination Instructions
- Sow the seeds directly into soil placed in pots, planters or growbags.
- Ensure that the planters/pots/growbags used are at least 6 inches deep.
- Germination starts in 2 to 3 weeks.
Maintenance Instructions
- The bloom time is 16-18 weeks.
- Avoid using heavy clay soil that will stay wet through the winter.
- Removing faded flowers will encourage constant blooming.
