Bottle Gourd is an annual cucurbitaceous vegetable grown in the summer and rainy seasons. This vine plant generates fruit and is an excellent source of fibre. The fruits borne are cylindrical in shape, have light green foliage and are 35 to 40 cm long. The average fruit weight is 1.2 to 1.5 kg. The gourd is used traditionally to administer enemas or dried to make utensils.

Germination Instructions
- Sow the seeds directly into soil placed in pots or growbags (3 seeds each).
- Ensure that the planters/pots/growbags used are at least 14-16 inches deep.
- The seeds germinate 7-12 days after sowing.
Maintenance Instructions
- It takes 55 days for the first harvest.
- It’s a high yielding, widely adapted hybrid.
- Use organic rich soil for better growth.
