Capsicum, also called ‘Shimla Mirch’, is one of the most favourite vegetables worldwide. It’s a rich source of Vitamin A and C. This species is the most common and extensively cultivated pepper of the five domesticated ones. The other four, ranging from mild to hot, include bell peppers, jalapenos, Chile peppers and Cayenne Peppers.

Germination Instructions
- The best way is to sow into pots or growbags (3-4 seeds per bag).
- Transplanting one month old sapling is another popular way of sowing.
- Germination takes place 8-12 days after sowing.
- Ensure that the pots/growbags/planters are at least 12 inches deep.
Maintenance Instructions
- The first harvest comes at 8-9 weeks after sowing.
- Multiple harvests can be procured from the same crop.
- Make sure the weather is not too hot.
