- The seeds germinate 3-10 days after sowing.

- It takes 85 days to harvest.
- Water at the vine's base in the morning, and try to avoid wetting the leaves.
- Avoid overhead watering.
- Make sure there’s enough space for the plant to grow; hence it’s best to grow in big planters or gardens.
- To get a jumpstart in cooler climates, cover the planting area with black plastic to warm up the soil.
