Its grey-green leaves and young stems (fresh or dried) make excellent ingredients for delicacies namely stew, sauces, dressings, squash and soups. This ornamental plant looks great when grown as a border, tub or in a vegetable garden.

Germination Instructions
- Sow the seeds directly into soil placed in pots, planters or growbags.
- Ensure that the planters/pots/growbags used are at least 6 inches deep.
- Germination starts in 10-21 days.
- Make sure the spacing between seeds is 12-15 inches.
Maintenance Instructions
- The harvest time is 75 days.
- Space rows 18 inches apart or use in-group plantings.
- When 1 to 2 inches tall, thin to 12 to 15 inches.
- You may transplant thinned plants.
- Water the soil regularly.
- For storage purposes, seal the leaves in wide-mouthed jars or bottles.
