Coleus is an annual or perennial plant which is broadly classified as a herb or a shrub but can also be a succulent sometimes. Most species are cultivated as ornamental plants; they are known to be garden favourites for their brightly colored foliage. However, some varieties that produce root tubers, are cultivated for food.

Germination Instructions
- Sow the seeds directly into soil placed in pots, planters or growbags.
- Ensure that the planters/pots/growbags used are at least 6 inches deep.
- Germination starts in 12 to 21 days.
- The plant can benefit with bottom heat.
Maintenance Instructions
- It takes 5 to 6 months to bloom.
- Harvest when the petals have dropped from the flowers and the remaining seed pods are plump, dry and brown.
- If direct sunlight touches the plant's leaves, the colors tend to fade.
